The Person Behind the Vision
My Journey, My Purpose, My Commitment
I am an educator with 14 years of experience in Creative Arts, specialising in Music, Theatre Arts
and Health and Family Life Education (HFLE). My professional experience has strengthened my commitment
to developing people, encouraging creativity and creating environments where individuals can discover
and build on their potential.
Leadership, collaboration and service have been consistent parts of my journey. Since becoming a member
of JCI St. Lucia in 2023, I have had the opportunity to contribute to the organization as Protocol and
Training Officer (PTRO) and, subsequently, as Executive Vice President for 2026.
These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the value of personal development, active membership
and purposeful leadership. As a candidate for Local Organization President, I bring my experience as an
educator, my commitment to service and my belief in the potential of JCI St. Lucia to continue developing
leaders and creating meaningful impact.
My Vision
A JCI St. Lucia where members feel connected, valued and empowered to lead; where leadership is shared,
opportunities are accessible, and our work creates lasting impact.
My vision for 2027 is to build a stronger, more united and member-focused organization that develops leaders,
strengthens fellowship, improves its systems and creates sustainable community impact.
As your President, I will build on existing achievements, recognize the contributions of members, and ensure
that successful initiatives have the opportunity to grow beyond a single term.
Our Three Priorities
PRIORITY 01
ONE TEAM — Membership and Camaraderie
We rise when we rise together
A strong organization begins with members who feel connected, respected and motivated to contribute.
My priority will be to strengthen the relationships and structures that make JCI St. Lucia a place where
members want to belong.
What members can expect
- Stronger fellowship: quarterly fellowship and team-building activities, while celebrating member achievements and milestones.
- Improved communication: regular updates, member engagement and transparent Board reporting.
- Membership growth and retention: an “Each One, Bring One” approach, targeting at least 35 active members by the end of 2027 and aiming for 90% member retention.
- Member participation: opportunities to share ideas, contribute to decisions and participate meaningfully in projects.
- Stronger relationships: reconnecting with past presidents, JCI senators, alumni and corporate partners to encourage mentorship, collaboration and organizational support.
- A culture of respect: open dialogue, constructive feedback and respectful resolution of disagreements.
PRIORITY 02
ONE DREAM — Leadership, Development and Recognition
Developing confident leaders
JCI should be an environment where members grow, serve, participate and discover their potential. In 2027,
I will introduce the STAR Member Recognition Programme, a structured initiative designed to encourage
engagement, accountability and continuous development within JCI St. Lucia.
Introducing STAR — Service, Training, Attendance and Recruitment
- S — SERVICE: recognizing members who actively contribute to projects, programmes, committees and leadership responsibilities.
- T — TRAINING: encouraging participation in official JCI training and relevant personal and professional development opportunities.
- A — ATTENDANCE: recognizing consistent participation in general membership meetings, events, fellowship activities and community initiatives.
- R — RECRUITMENT: encouraging members to attract prospective members, support recruitment and help welcome new members.
Through a transparent points system, monthly tracking and quarterly recognition, STAR will encourage a culture
of participation while celebrating the diverse contributions of our members. The programme will culminate in
annual recognition of outstanding members, including the STAR Member of the Year.
Beyond STAR
- Empowered project leaders: clear responsibilities, orientation, mentorship and guidance in planning, implementation and reporting.
- Stronger systems: practical documentation and handover procedures that preserve organizational knowledge.
- Debating and public speaking: expanded opportunities to practise communication, critical thinking and advocacy.
- Creative Young Entrepreneurs (CYE): continue and strengthen the programme launched in 2026.
- National and international exposure: aim for at least five members at each national and international JCI conference or convention, including the JCI West Indies National Convention, JCI Conference of the Americas 2027 and JCI World Congress 2027.
PRIORITY 03
ONE IMPACTFUL COMMUNITY — Programmes and Partnerships
Creating meaningful change
Our community projects should address real needs, build partnerships and deliver results that can be measured.
In 2027, LACES Walk and Her Path to Leadership will be our two flagship community projects, reflecting our
commitment to mental health awareness, leadership development and the empowerment of women.
What members and the community can expect
- Bingo Bonanza: continue this successful annual fundraising activity and build a consistent fundraising opportunity.
- Her Path to Leadership: continue this flagship International Women’s Day initiative celebrating women’s leadership and potential.
- LACES Walk: sustain this flagship mental health awareness initiative with improved timing, planning and engagement.
- JCI TOYP: assess the requirements for introducing the Ten Outstanding Young Persons programme in St. Lucia.
- Quarterly community impact: at least one signature community initiative each quarter across health, environment, youth empowerment and economic development.
- Sustainable development: align projects with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and strengthen before-and-after reporting.
- Strategic partnerships: target two formal corporate partnership agreements within the first 90 days, subject to successful negotiations.
- Measurable reach: work towards reaching at least 1,000 Saint Lucians through the year’s initiatives.

Accountability and Measuring Progress
Clear expectations and consistent reporting will help members understand what is being achieved and where further
work is required. I will uphold the JCI St. Lucia Constitution and applicable procedures through properly recorded
minutes, timely reports, documented decisions, clear responsibilities and regular follow-up.
The STAR scorecard will support this by providing a consistent record of members’ service, training, attendance and recruitment contributions.
Progress will be reviewed against
- At least 35 active members by the end of 2027 and a target of 90% member retention.
- A functioning STAR Member Recognition Programme with monthly tracking and quarterly recognition.

- Progress towards introducing JCI TOYP.
- Quarterly community initiatives, with a goal of reaching at least 1,000 Saint Lucians.
- Consistent reporting, project evaluation and documented handover procedures.
A Shared Commitment
Progress requires more than a list of projects. It requires members who feel they belong, leaders who develop others,
and systems that allow good work to continue beyond one term.
My commitment is to lead through collaboration, encourage open communication, recognize the contributions of those
who have laid the groundwork and create meaningful opportunities for members to grow.
Together, we can build an organization that develops its people, strengthens its partnerships and serves its community
with purpose. This is not about one person doing everything; it is about building a team that can achieve more together.
ONE Team. ONE Dream. ONE Impactful Community.
I respectfully ask for your support and your vote — Sheneil Angelique Archer
